The Middle Wing (Grade 7 and 8) of Presidium had organized an activity to celebrate Literacy Day. The students elaborated about the key aspects of this day; they focused on its meaning, value, importance, and how the graph of the world changed since 1966 regarding literacy. The students also emphasized the different means one can adopt to make the world and its citizens literate. In addition to it, they also described the facts about the level of development of literacy in different countries and other key aspects extended to it like child labour and its impact on literacy. The students enjoyed the activity and portrayed their work through posters, PPTs, and charts. This activity developed a sense of value in the minds of the young Presidians and how literacy can add to the economic growth of the country and value to everyone’s life.
