Climate change poses a fundamental threat to the places, species and people all over the world. We need to work together to resolve the issues and protect the earth and its environment. To adequately address this crisis we must understand the gravity of the matter and look towards well thought workable solutions.
This year’s theme for Presidium Model United Nations-2016 is ‘Presidium for Environment’ being addressed through 11 committees. PMUN seeks to make them the front runners who will engage in debates and discussions while confronting the critical global challenges and drafting resolutions in response to them. The students from Presidium, Indirapuram, availed the opportunity to be a part of the remarkable gathering of more than 500 students at the event. They brainstormed through sessions and agendas to secure the corrective actions required to deal with the current global environmental crisis that has struck the planet.
Such academic stimulations broaden the horizons of students towards the issues that affect our global community. They are an apt tool to develop skills of critical analysis and operative dialogue in them and have them plunge into the issues which plague humanity in today’s world. Such platforms invite the students to understand their responsibility towards the global community and see themselves in a meaningful position to impact and inspire a change.
