It forms the foundation of a strong body and gives us the energy to fight many deadly diseases. To enjoy a healthy life, you must intake healthy food. Students of Grade Prep virtually celebrated the TBL Enrichment Activity under the theme 'Food.' Both students and teachers made scrumptious sandwiches and lemonade. Economics helps us identify the policy measures that encourage prosperity and avoid inefficiency, making it a crucial driver in the search for sustainable growth. Project work in Economics helps understand some basic economic concepts and the development of economic reasoning. It assists students to realize their role in nation-building and sensitivity to the economic issues that the nation is facing today and develop the necessary skills to argue logically with reasoning. Online activity was taken up by the students of Grade 11. PowerPoint presentations were prepared and delivered on Microsoft TEAMS. Demonetization, GST, Cybercrime, Small scale industries, Stock Exchange, etc., were some of the Economic issues/topics discussed in context with the Indian economy's current scenario. The exuberant efforts and keen engagement of the students were acknowledged and appreciated.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE THE SPIRIT OF CHILDHOOD ON CHILDREN’S DAY

"Childhood is the most beautiful of all life's seasons."
One of the most treasured possessions on earth, children, are loved by one and all. Thus children's day is celebrated to commemorate the healthy growth and happiness of children. In honour of our beloved Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, special activities were conducted in Nursery to third Grade as part of the virtual Children's day celebrations. Teachers organized different activities for children like cake cutting, storytelling, clay modeling, craft activity to make a paper crown, singing, dancing, eating their favourite snacks, etc. and to make the children feel special, a short video was made. Children's day is all about respecting and honouring children who are considered future leaders of the nation. It was a fun-filled day for the little Presidians, which would always be cherished as a fond memory.

Diwali, the festival of lights that enlightens the hearts and brings joy to every heart, was celebrated at Presidium on the virtual platform. While celebrating Diwali, young Presidians of Nursery to Fifth Grade led the way in spreading the message of celebrating safe and pollution-free Eco-friendly Diwali. The program began with a meaningful prayer service highlighting the message of Diwali, invoking God's blessings. Teachers explained the importance of Diwali; the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. Students dressed up in colourful ethnic attire. They were engrossed in a beautiful craft activity wherein they decorated wall hangings and diyas using colour paper and various decorative materials. Students made rangoli, banners, and sweets, which added the perfect setting to the festivity.

National Education Day is an annual observance in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first education minister of independent India, who served from 15 August 1947 until 2 February 1958. National Education Day of India is celebrated on 11 November every year. On this alluring day, the Middle Wing of Presidium had organized an activity' Education the need of an Hour'. The activity's objective was to teach the motive and importance of education in today's time and how education builds our minds and skills. The students wrote beautiful and creative slogans and also shared it in the class. This activity made students realize how education affects us in different ways; it not only makes us literate but makes our life.

The National Cancer Awareness Day is observed annually in India on November 7 to spread awareness on cancer, its symptoms, and treatment. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cancer is the second leading cause of death globally. In an endeavour to spread awareness about the causes and prevention of cancer, Presidium observed the National Cancer Day. Students across all the grades participated enthusiastically in various activities. Students of grade 9 and 10 participated in Poster Making. The informative posters triumphantly put across the message strongly and clearly.

STUDENTS ENHANCE THEIR COGNITIVE SKILLS WITH CLOCK MAKING ACTIVITY

Knowing how to tell time is an essential skill. It can help you determine whether you are running late or you have plenty of time to spare. Being able to tell time by looking at the traditional clock is essential to understand other things like time zones and international time as well. Learning how to tell time can also help kids with their motor and cognitive skills as well as mathematical skills. Realizing the importance of the concept for Grade 3 students, the teachers organized the Clock Making activity. During the activity, students made the 3D model of the clock using cardboard and colorful sheets. The teacher then asked them to show the given time on their clock. Students enjoyed the activity a lot, followed all the steps, and made the colourful clocks.

STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THE ROLE OF COMMUNITY HELPERS

Every human contributes to society. From morning to night, we come across so many people who help us in some way or the other, some directly and some indirectly; they are our Community Helpers. To strengthen and develop a sense of deep understanding of community helpers under TBL, the students of grade nursery conducted a fun-filled activity. Students were dressed up in costumes of community helper of their choice- doctor, teacher, gardener, housemaid, a rickshaw puller, and many more. The students enacted and role-played different types of work done by our community helpers using the tools and props - stethoscope, marker, blackboard, weighing scale, iron, whistle, stick, etc. This activity proved to be quite encouraging and delightful for the students.

It gives us a sense of great pleasure to share that Abhijita Gupta - Grade 2 student of Presidium, who launched her first book- "Happiness All Around," secured a place as the "Youngest Author to write poetry and stories" in "India Book of Records" as well as in the "Asia Book of Records." She was recently felicitated for her achievements at Oxford Book Store, Connaught Place, Delhi. All major news and tv channels covered the event. Her extraordinary achievement has made not only her parents but the entire school fraternity and the nation proud. This young Presidian has stood true to the school's philosophy and vision of - "Be What You To Be." She happens to be the Third Generation of Poet-Writer duo Padma Bhushan Awardee Rashtrakavi - Shri Maithalisharn Gupt and Santkavi Shri Siyaram Sharan Gupt. On World Heart Day, our students at Presidium pledged to include cardiovascular activities in day-to-day lives. Celebrating World Heart Day at home, the students enjoyed various cardiovascular exercises at home, which is an excellent tool to strengthen their bodies and bones. They tried burpees, skipping, jumping jacks, cycling, and many more. This gave them an active start of the day and will help them keep the body healthy and fit.
