To increase the awareness of people towards the rights, care and education of children, the Children’s Day was recently celebrated with a special assembly at Presidium, Indirapuram. The day marks the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, who was renowned to be very affectionate towards children and thus, became famous as Chacha Nehru. The assembly area was decorated enticingly according to the theme of the program - love and roses. It was a delight to see the adorable children dressed up in white coloured Kurta Pyjamas along with Nehru caps. The celebration began with a classical dance performance and a few children took initiative to throw light on this occasion. Then, the little ones performed on a foot tapping number and went down the stage to invite the teachers to join them in for a dance, proving that the soul is healed by being with children.
