The festival of Maha Shivratri is celebrated each year in reverence of Lord Shiva. Maha Shivaratri is a great festival in Hinduism, celebrated annually with devotion and religious enthusiasm in honor of Lord Shiva, one of the deities of the Hindu Trinity. The literal meaning of Shivaratri is “The Great Night of Lord Shiva.” The students of Grade Nursery to 2 celebrated Maha Shivratri with full zeal and enthusiasm. The sacred mantra of Shiva, “Om Namah Shivay’ was chanted to begin the celebration. The powers and the role of Lord Shiva in the natural cycle were highlighted during the online class. All the students were beautifully dressed up in traditional attire. On this auspicious occasion, the students enjoyed dancing on “ Shiv Tandava,” involved in a craft activity, and also made takeaway of ‘Damru and Trishul’ as a symbol of Lord Shiva.
