"Be the change that you want to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandhi
Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated on 2 October every year to mark the birth anniversary of the most prominent leader of the Indian Independence struggle. Gandhi Ji is also called 'Bapu' and was given the title of 'Father of the Nation'. So as a tribute to our Rashtrapita, Presidians celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with full zeal. Students were made aware of the struggles and sacrifices made by Gandhi Ji to set India free. They all were dressed up in traditional attire and made various crafts like charkha, specs, lathi, Gandhi’s three monkeys, etc. to pay tribute to Gandhi ji. They were shown stories related to Gandhi’s life instances and had a virtual tour to Sabarmati Ashram which spread the message of endurance, peace, harmony, and the powerful tool of Non-Violence. Students paid homage and sang Gandhiji’s favorite song “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram, Patit Pavan Sita Ram.”
