Guru Nanak Jayanti is one of the biggest festivals of the Sikh community. On this special occasion, Presidians were made to understand the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who through his preachings spread the message of love, equality, and virtue. The students were briefed about the significance of the day, Presidians learned about the traditional and famous "Karah Prasad" in the session and they wrote teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji on placards. Some students also enacted as Panj Pyare. They all learned the significance of five Beloved: the men who were initiated into the Khalsa (the brotherhood of the Sikh faith) under the leadership of the last of the ten Gurus, Guru Gobind Singh. The students also decorated the pious sign of KHANDA using tearing and pasting with golden paper. They offered Ardaas to bless all humanity and to help them to be faithful to the scriptures.
