Indian Army Day is observed on January 15 every year to recognize the day the British commander-in-chief handed over the reins of the Indian army to Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa.
To mark the 74th anniversary of the Indian Army Day this year, an activity was planned for the students of grade 8th. ‘They are quartered in snow, silent to remain. When the bugle calls, they shall rise and march again.’ In light of the slogan given above, students had to prepare a speech and present it in the virtual class. They were highly ecstatic about the activity. We could observe the wave of patriotism in the hearts of our young Presidians. It was a moment of pride for all of us to see the respect and appreciation students have for the sacrifices of our soldiers.
