These beautiful words by Agnes De Mille together with a loud and buoyant cheering were wonderfully quoted by Presidians conferring a genial welcome to the revered guest of the day.
Presidians of Indirapuram joyously celebrated ‘International Dance Day’ with rhythm in their hearts. The occasion was graced by Ms. Ranjana Gauhar, the distinguished and eminent guest is one of the leading exponents of the Indian classical dance. She is a renowned Odissi dancer and a pioneer in this field who continues to mesmerise the audience with her individualistic and innovative spellbinding performances. She has also been honoured with the prestigious ‘Padma Shree Award’ and the ‘Sangeet Natak Akademi Award’ for her significant and noteworthy work in this field.
The day witnessed a galore of cheers and admiration for Ms. Ranjana’s brilliant dancing skills. The audience was awestruck to watch her perform with such finesse, gaiety and poise. It was incredible and a true blend of cosmic tune and divine music encapsulating the audience’s sanity and wit.
The event was concluded by felicitating the guest of honour and her team of artists with a vote of thanks and for beautifully rendering the spirit of dance in Presidians on this day.
