To emphasize on the aspects of creativity, humour and conceptual presentation in advertisements, an Inter-Club Ad Mad Competition was recently organized for students of grades 4 and 5 at Presidium, Indirapuram. Offering young Presidians a space to demonstrate their understanding of the world of advertisements, the fun-filled contest gave them a platform to showcase their creativity, collaboration, teamwork and ability to perform. It also acquainted the students about promotional strategies in marketing through advertisements. Each club presented a unique piece of performance, which was highly appreciated by one and all!

In order to highlight the importance of human rights and raise awareness that rights exist to help and protect all, our grade 3 students recently conducted a special assembly at Presidium, Indirapuram. The young Presidians presented a beautiful street play on the theme of human rights and informed the audience about the basic fundamental rights in India. They also highlighted the duties that we must perform to enjoy these entitlements. The play was followed by a captivating musical drama on a very sensitive issue in India and that is 'child labour and education'. The assembly played a great role in touching and transforming the leaders of tomorrow!

Thousands have lived without love, not one without water!
When the whole world was engrossed elsewhere, our talented students of grade 3 came forward and presented a spellbinding and thought-provoking assembly on the importance of saving water at Presidium, Indirapuram. The theatrical-cum-dance saga left the little Presidians awakened and they were sensitized towards the alarming situation of this depleting elixir of life. Finally, the group pledged together to preserve each possible drop each day wherever and whenever possible. The day made all hopeful for a sustainable tomorrow!

These inspiring words were put to life when our grade 6 to 8 students showcased their brilliance in music, dance and theatre in a recently organized Inter-Class Talent Hunt Competition at Presidium, Indirapuram. The aim was to nurture their talent from a young age to boost their self-confidence and channelizing their energy onto a more creative front. Numerous skills of social awareness, responsibility and competitiveness with a new zeal and vigour surfaced throughout the competition. The Talent Hunt motivated the Presidians to pursue their talents and strengthened their faith in Henry Van Dyke's saying, "use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best".

With this thought, our grade 5 students recently conducted a special assembly on New Year Resolutions. It started with the morning prayer, thoughts, news of the day and achievements of the year 2017. Pos this, the children presented an enthralling skit on the mistakes they did last year and took resolutions that they will never repeat their mistakes like they will never tease anyone, they will always respect their elders, teachers and friends, and they will bring smile on everyone's face. The Presidians then joyfully gave a dance performance on the theme - happy ending of 2017 and welcoming new year 2018. It was a day filled with fun and learning!

MATH WEEK: YOUNG MINDS ON A TRIP TO THE WORLD OF MATHEMATICS

The only way to learn Mathematics is to do Mathematics!
Mathematics is the science of numbers and their operations. For an enjoyable experience of this subject, we must necessarily be able to relate it to the environment and focus on the development of thinking and reasoning skills. With this thought, our grade 3 students recently celebrated Math Week at Presidium, Indirapuram, on the birth anniversary of famous Indian mathematician, Sh. Srinivasa Ramanujan. The entire week was celebrated with fun-filled and interactive activities to achieve a wide range of objectives related to knowledge skills, application, attitude, appreciation, interest and values. A Math Quiz was also conducted, wherein various interesting and challenging puzzles, riddles, reasoning and application based questions were asked and discussed through a PPT. Students were also made aware of various amazing facts about the subject. They actively participated in the quiz with a healthy competitive spirit and got a wonderful opportunity to explore the beauty of Mathematics. The students had a great time and the week really got them to see Math in a different light!

PRESIDIANS REVEAL THEIR TALENT AT ROCK N' ROLL CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL

In synch with the saying 'fun for all; all for fun', our faculty and future leaders of Presidium Indirapuram recently organized a grand Rock N' Roll Christmas Carnival. Our little Presidians danced with the Santa and set the stage on fire with their various captivating singing and dancing performances. There were many other activities arranged for the parents like Tambola and Dance Workshop. Children were given a platform to showcase their talent under the light of numerous enjoyable competitions like Fashion Minis, Little Picasso, Mom and Me / Dad and Me, Friends Forever and Sketch A Santa. Everyone enjoyed the lip-smacking snacks and rides to their fullest, making the carnival a grand success and full of fun, laughter and enjoyment.

ASSEMBLY ON CHRISTMAS TEACHES LITTLE PRESIDIANS TO CARE & SHARE

To spread the message of love and good cheer, the grade prep students of Presidium Indirapuram recently presented a spectacular assembly on Christmas. The entire school was festooned with bright streamers, balloons, bells, Santa caps and a brightly decorated Christmas tree. The little Presidians presented a colourful skit related to the birth of Jesus Christ, wherein they all dressed as Santa Claus, Joseph, Mother May, The Kings and Shepherds, to captivate the audience with their smiles and lovely attire. They emphasized the importance of caring and sharing and spreading goodness all around. The programme was followed by an enthralling dance and Christmas carols. At the end of the program, Santa Claus arrived and filled the entire crowd with joy as he danced with everyone with great enthusiasm. All the children enjoyed the beats of 'jingle bells' and cake cutting ceremony. Overriding every other emotion, a wave of cheer enveloped the school!

LITTLE PRESIDIANS DEVELOP EMPATHY & RESPECT FOR COMMUNITY HELPERS

Teaching kindergarteners about community helpers is an important and enjoyable concept. To do so, our grade nursery students recently conducted a small presentation on the theme ‘community helpers’ at Presidium Indirapuram. The little Presidians came dressed as doctors, gardeners, teachers, postmen, pilots and fire fighters to demonstrate the role of these real-life heroes in our everyday life. Packed with great enthusiasm, the tiny tots looked adorable in their attractive costumes. The theme not only helped in making students aware about different helpers and their roles, but also built empathy and respect for various community helpers in their hearts.

PRESIDIANS VISIT AGRA TO KNOW MORE ABOUT MUGHAL HISTORY & CULTURE

Our young history buffs of grade 4, Presidium Indirapuram, recently took a fun-filled trip to Agra - Fatehpur Sikri. After spending some time unwinding, the students and teachers went to Fatehpur Sikri to revive their interesting history lessons. They were accompanied by guides, who enabled them to delve into the rich history and culture of the Mughal era. The Presidians also watched documentaries about the Mughal history and culture on their way back to hotel, where a thrilling DJ night was awaiting.
Donning their dancing shoes, the students gave memorable performances, ending the night with all fun and frolics. Next day, they visited Taj Mahal, the monument for which Agra is the most famous. Awestruck with the beauty and aura of this mighty symbol of Mughal architecture, they learnt many new facts about the place. Giving students an opportunity to bond with their dear friends and loving teachers, this trip will definitely remain etched in their memory forever!
